Having already bought a home in Carstairs and wondering how he’s going to pay off the loan for his soon-to-be demolished trailer, he supports those choosing to stay and fight. To him, the key to challenging the eviction lies in the city’s broken relocation promises. Relocation assistance and counselling is also being offered, which residents say has amounted to open houses by homeless shelters and social support networks. It’s the supposed legality of their eviction that residents are hoping will reverse their fortunes.
